The Clutch Masters FX400 6-Puck Ceramic Clutch Kit is the top of the Clutch Masters single-disc lineup, designed for 2015–2021 Subaru WRX FA20 6-speed owners running significant power upgrades, forced induction builds, or track and drag racing applications. With 170% increased holding capacity over the factory clutch, this kit is built for drivers who have pushed well beyond what an OEM or mild performance clutch can handle.

The FX400 uses the Power Plus I Heavy Duty pressure plate paired with a 6-puck sprung ceramic disc. The 6-puck configuration is more aggressive than the 8-puck setup, delivering rapid, positive engagement and outstanding heat dissipation under sustained high-load driving. The sprung hub design provides moderate dampening in high-torque situations, making it more street-manageable than solid or rigid disc designs while still delivering race-level holding capacity.

Important Note: The 6-puck ceramic paddle design engages very quickly and will produce clutch chatter in first gear and reverse, this is normal behavior for this disc type and not a defect. This kit is not recommended for stock or near-stock vehicles. Flywheel is not included. This kit requires an OEM style flywheel or a Clutch Masters flywheel, other brand flywheels are not compatible. 2018 and up WRX models will need an OEM style flywheel or compatible aftermarket flywheel to work with this kit. Ceramic discs are designed to increase holding capacity and durability, not to extend clutch lifespan.
