The Hawk HPS 5.0 Rear Brake Pads are a Ferro-Carbon compound rear brake upgrade designed for the 2008–2021 Subaru WRX, 2013–2020 BRZ, and 2009–2017 Forester. The HPS 5.0 sits above the standard Hawk HPS compound, delivering increased brake torque, improved resistance to fade, and shorter stopping distances while maintaining low dust and minimal noise for everyday street use.
The Ferro-Carbon compound draws from aerospace and motorsports friction technology to provide consistent pedal feel and braking response across a wide temperature range. These rear pads pair directly with the Hawk HPS 5.0 front pads for a matched compound upgrade across all four corners, or can be used independently as a rear-only improvement.
Important Note: These pads fit WRX models without Eyesight and without the Performance Package Brembo calipers. WRX models with Brembo calipers require 2004–2017 STI fitment pads. Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors — designed for iron and metal rotors only.

Will these fit my WRX if it has the Brembo Performance Package?
No. WRX models with the Performance Package Brembo calipers require 2004–2017 STI fitment brake pads. These pads are for standard caliper WRX models only. Contact us if you are unsure which calipers your WRX has.
Will these fit a WRX with Eyesight?
No. These rear pads are not compatible with Eyesight-equipped WRX models. Contact us to confirm fitment for your specific build year and trim.
What is the difference between HPS and HPS 5.0?
The HPS 5.0 delivers more brake torque and higher operating temperature tolerance than the standard HPS compound. It produces slightly more dust than the HPS but remains significantly cleaner than race-oriented compounds.
