In 2016, owner, Kenny Gehringer started Wrench Masters at the age of 24 when he realized the highest level of automotive service was needed. Kenny had an interest in cars beginning in high school, so he attended the welding program at Pinellas Technical College (PTEC) immediately after graduating. While participating in the welding program, he apprenticed at a local machine shop where he learned the ins and outs about engines, an opportunity that most people never have. In order to break into the automotive industry, he started washing cars at a local BMW dealership.
After 6 months, he was moved into the shop to learn the ropes. The responsibility associated with working on these high-end vehicles taught him how to make sure vehicles are repaired correctly the first time, on time, every time. After working on BMWs for about two years, Kenny made a change. He began working for Firestone Complete Auto Care as a technician, which allowed him to expand his repair knowledge on all different types of vehicles. While at Firestone, he earned the majority of his ASE certifications that now make him an ASE Certified Master Technician. Approximately 2 ½ years later, Kenny went to work for a different BMW dealership.
While working at BMW, Kenny decided to pursue his dream of owning his own automotive repair business and created Wrench Masters. In the very beginning of Wrench Masters’ existence, Kenny continued to work at BMW part-time, but quickly realized that he could not continue this due to the high demand of work at Wrench Masters. Wrench Masters has been a fully operational auto repair shop since then and has continued to grow into what it is today, including the addition of new team members.

John San Antonio was the lead technician at the Firestone location where Kenny worked several years ago. John and Kenny were an unstoppable team at Firestone and continue to be at Wrench Masters.
John has over 15 years of experience in the automotive industry and has too many certifications to list. John is an ASE Certified Master Technician, ASE Certified “Advanced Level Specialist,” ASE Certified Heavy & Light Duty Diesel Technician, and a Certified CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) Vehicle Inspector.
In addition to his 8-years of service with Firestone Complete Auto Care as the lead technician at 2 locations, he worked for the Pinellas County Schools maintaining and repairing the school buses and other county vehicles, and he worked for the City of Clearwater keeping their heavy-duty fleet vehicles working at their full capacity.

Alden Schaefer joined Wrench Masters in 2022, bringing valuable experience from his previous role as a used car technician and lube technician at AutoNation Toyota. With over six years in the automotive field, Alden holds three ASE certifications: A5 (Brakes), A4 (Suspension and Steering), and A1 (Engine Repair), all of which he has attained since joining Wrench Masters.
He is currently pursuing additional certifications to further enhance his skills. Alden specializes in a wide range of repair jobs, from brake services to engine repairs and alignments.

Bryan Peebles has a lifelong passion for motorsport and brings three years of experience in the automotive parts sales and customer service sectors. He began his career at AutoZone and later transitioned to Advance Auto Parts, where he supplied parts to commercial shops, managed records and inventory, performed basic repairs and diagnostics, and provided guidance to DIY customers.
His strong relationships with commercial clients caught the attention of our Service Manager, Adam, who encouraged Bryan to join the Wrench Masters team. Since July 2025, Bryan has served as a Service Advisor, acting as the primary point of contact for customers and technicians. He manages appointment scheduling, explains diagnostic results, advises on repairs, supplies parts, and oversees workflow, ensuring that customers receive efficient and transparent service for their automotive repair and performance upgrade needs.

Dan Cronk brings 38 years of automotive experience and is ASE certified. He began his career in Maine as a technician while studying machine tool technology and welding at EMVTI. By age 27, he had risen to the position of Lead Technician and Shop Manager at Performance Automotive, later becoming a partner and manager at Gearhead, a performance and dyno facility.
Dan served as a personal mechanic and restoration specialist for Bruce Farnsworth, where he restored Shelby Mustangs and contributed to the design of one of the first removable hardtops for the Shelby AC Cobra. After founding Crankinstein’s Garage, he managed Truck Works and More, where he trained technicians and developed service policies. Since relocating to Florida in 2018, Dan has worked in performance and dyno shops and joined a professional racing team, building TA2 race cars and traveling nationwide. Currently at Wrench Masters, he leverages his ASE certification, technical know-how, and leadership experience as a Service Writer.

Brian Dunn has been an automotive technician since the age of 16, accumulating over ten years of experience. He began his career at a family-owned shop, mastering essential maintenance skills such as oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments. He later moved to a specialty truck shop, where he honed his skills in installing aftermarket lift kits, bed liners, and other enhancements.
Brian’s experience at a GM Performance shop focused on performance upgrades, including turbocharger installations and supercharger kits. At Wrench Masters, Brian specializes in performance upgrades and builds while also boasting a strong background in fleet vehicle maintenance, making him an ideal fit for our team.

Gabe Iglesias is a dedicated automotive technician and a proud member of the Wrench Masters team. Hailing from Citrus County, Florida, he built his technical foundation at Withlacoochee Technical Institute (WTI) in Automotive Service Technology. With 17 years of experience in the automotive field, Gabe has quickly proven himself at Wrench Masters in just two months, demonstrating his keen attention to detail and quick learning abilities.
His primary focus is on customer success; he excels in listening to clients and ensuring that they fully understand their repair needs. Gabe is committed to delivering quality repairs the first time, helping clients return to the road safely and efficiently. He aims to achieve the industry’s highest standard by becoming an ASE Certified Master Technician and looks forward to providing honest and expert service at Wrench Masters.

Additionally, most of the suppliers we choose to work with offer a 2-year nationwide parts and labor warranty with roadside assistance. If anything happens to your vehicle, we are here for you and promise to always keep your best interests in mind. We will work with you to ensure that we find a solution to get you back on the road in the timeliest manner.
