The factory turbo inlet hose on these Subaru platforms has internal pleats that restrict airflow right before it enters the turbo, exactly where you want the smoothest path possible. This Perrin Turbo Inlet Hose replaces it with a smooth-bore 2.4 inch silicone hose, removing those factory restrictions to improve airflow, increase horsepower and torque, and reduce turbo spool time for sharper throttle response.
Reinforced with an embedded stainless steel support wire to prevent collapse under high boost, and finished with a glass-filled nylon coupler for a smooth, rigid transition from intake to turbo. It includes a machined aluminum insert bonded into the hose for a solid blow off valve connection, plus a plug-and-play crankcase vent connector that preserves emissions compliance without defeating the factory emission control. No tuning is required to install, though tuning is recommended to capture the full gains.
