The EBC Redstuff Ceramic Front Brake Pads are EBC’s flagship street brake pad for performance and prestige vehicles, designed for the 2015–2021 Subaru WRX and 2005–2014 Legacy GT. The Redstuff compound is built around two core advantages — dramatically reduced brake dust and strong, consistent stopping power right from cold — making it the preferred choice for WRX owners who prioritize clean wheels without sacrificing braking performance.
The compound uses an aramid fiber base enhanced with ceramic particles, with zero steel fiber content. This is what sets it apart from semi-metallic pads — no steel fibers means no etching into wheel lacquers or alloy surfaces, and the minimal dust that does accumulate washes off easily with a simple sponge wash. EBC’s Brake-In surface coating comes pre-applied to condition the rotor surface and accelerate the bed-in process right from installation.
The Redstuff delivers a 15% improvement in stopping power over OEM pads and is capable of repeated heavy braking without brake fade or fall-off, making it equally at home on an aggressive street driver as it is on a car used for occasional spirited canyon runs.
Important Note: These pads fit 2015–2021 WRX models with the standard steel calipers only. WRX models equipped with the Performance Package Brembo calipers require 2004–2017 STI fitment brake pads. Bed-in time can be up to 1,000 miles due to the hard-wearing ceramic compound. Not recommended for sustained track or race use.

Why are these pads so much cleaner than others?
EBC Redstuff uses zero steel fiber in its compound. Steel fibers are the primary cause of brake dust that sticks to and etches wheel surfaces. By replacing steel fibers with aramid fibers, the dust produced is minimal and washes off easily without damaging wheel lacquers or alloy finishes.
Will these fit my WRX if it has the Brembo Performance Package?
No. WRX models with the Performance Package Brembo calipers require 2004–2017 STI fitment brake pads. These pads are for the standard steel caliper WRX only. Contact us if you are unsure which calipers your WRX has.
How long does the bed-in take?
Due to the hard-wearing ceramic compound, bed-in can take up to 1,000 miles of normal street driving. EBC’s pre-applied Brake-In coating helps accelerate this process. Some light brake noise during the first few hundred miles is normal and will diminish as the pads seat.
Can these be used on the track?
The Redstuff is designed for aggressive street and fast road use, not sustained track or race sessions. For track-oriented driving, a higher temperature compound such as the Hawk HP Plus is more appropriate.
Are these compatible with aftermarket rotors?
Yes. The EBC Redstuff works with iron and metal rotors including slotted and drilled options.
